Recall that in 1991, by its resolution, the Supreme Soviet of the RSFSR adopted tricolor as a national flag. In 1994, by the decision of President Boris Yeltsin, August 22 was established as a state holiday.

This year in honor of the holiday in the Russian capital, more than 200 events were planned. It is reported that in Moscow parks will be held flash mobs, as well as concerts and master classes. Also visitors are waited with sports festivals, quests and other entertainments.

It is planned to create a huge flag of Russia in the size of 20 to 30 meters on the Pushkinskaya embankment. It is specified that anyone will be able to color it. In Victory Park visitors will be able to draw a Russian flag with the help of fingerprints on a long canvas.
