Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports that the Elysee Palace promulgated a "transparency charter" relating to the public activities of the First Lady of France Brigitte Macron.
The communique of the Elysee Palace says: "Previously this role was not legally codified. This Charter, based on the interest in democratic transparency, clearly outlines and makes publicly available both the tasks of the wife of the head of state and the funds allocated for their implementation ".
As emphasized in the document, the wife of the head of the Fifth Republic together with him represents France at international summits and meetings, meets with French and foreign citizens, and personally participates in cultural and social events.
It is noted that while the president's wife does not receive any compensation for her activities. She does not have the resources for hospitality, and she does not have a separate budget. It is specified that for the performance of the duties assigned to her, the First Lady of France will receive funds from the budget of the Elysee Palace.
The communique also says that Brigitte Macron's work program will be published at the end of each month. It is noted that the first lady will regularly report on her activities.
