"RT in Russian" reports that Egyptian Foreign Minister Samekh Shukri stated that he had transmitted to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov the message of Egyptian leader Abdel Fattah al-Sisi addressed to Russian President Vladimir Putin concerning the relations between the two countries.
Following the talks with Lavrov during the press conference, Shukri said: "During the meeting, I was honored to convey to Mr. Lavrov the message of Mr. President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi addressed to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin: it affirms Egypt's commitment to the development of bilateral relations between our countries ".
He also stressed that in the message Egypt welcomes the expansion of consultations with Russia "in all areas and areas that are of mutual interest".
During a press conference following the talks with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted positive progress in resuming air traffic between Russia and Egypt.
Lavrov said: "Today, we have noted positive progress in the work of specialists who are solving the relevant issues, and proceed from the premise that in the very near future there will be additional clarity regarding the prospects for the resumption of direct air traffic".
