Vedomosti reports that, referring to the FAS definition of appointing cases against MTS, MegaFon, VimpelCom and T2 RTC Holding (Tele2 brand), the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia called the inflated accounts of mobile operators for servicing foreign Subscribers cause high prices for national roaming. It is noted that the regulator suspects them of violating the antimonopoly legislation.

According to the FAS, MegaFon's rates for servicing other people's subscribers exceed its own operator tariffs up to 3000 times, VimpelCom up to 1970 times, Tele2 up to 5280 times. FAS found out that less than the others overstates the accounts of MTS, whose rates for other operators exceed tariffs by 22 times. All these overstatements the antimonopoly service considers unreasonable. The FAS explained that "the inter-operator rate should not be higher than the subscriber rate of the same carrier in the same region".

At the same time, representatives of the Big Four operators refused to comment on the publication of the FAS estimates. The antimonopoly service was unable to comment on the progress of negotiations with operators.

As it was informed earlier, in August of this year the FAS filed lawsuits against MTS, MegaFon, VimpelCom and Tele2, suspecting them of establishing and maintaining monopolistically high prices for communication services in national roaming. Later, the agency admitted that the operators of the "Big Four" did not comply with its ultimatum.
