The newspaper Izvestia writes, citing the press service of the Bank of Russia, that the intensive growth of salaries of Russian citizens, which occurs against the backdrop of lower labor productivity, has led to an increase in inflation and a slowdown in GDP growth in Russia.

The regulator also noted that in Russia there is a shortage of personnel:

doctors, teachers, programmers, as well as highly skilled workers.

The Central Bank believes that this deficit can disperse inflation by 0.5 percentage points. The pace of economic growth in Russia can slow down by 1%.

The newspaper writes: "According to Rosstat, labor productivity in Russia has been growing about half as fast as in 2009 from real wages of the population. The exception was only in 2015, when real wages fell by 9.1 percent, and labor productivity - by 2.2 percent ".
