On the website of the Cabinet of Ministers, a document signed by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has been published, from which it follows that the Russian government has approved a plan to implement the state program to provide Russians with affordable and comfortable housing for 2017-2019.
As reported, the implementation plan includes 24 most socially significant events, expected results, as well as data on those responsible for their implementation.
The explanatory note to the document states that the program was issued in addition to the corresponding program in order to effectively monitor and control the implementation.
Earlier it became known that under the program more than 530 thousand Russians were resettled from emergency housing, which is three quarters of the total number of needy citizens.
In February 2016, the RF Ministry of Finance proposed to extend the subsidy for mortgages. The ministry said that the mortgage subsidy program helped to keep the mortgage market from collapse and supported the construction industry.
