The information portal specifies that the police pursued the car and stopped it at the junction near the airport. It is noted that the driver left the car with his hands up, pretending to give up. But then he hit an officer approaching him, ran to one of the cars standing on the road, pulled a female driver out of her and stole a car on which he drove into the glass wall of the airport.
Iceland Monitor reports that the police indicated that the hijacker is about 20 years old.
About the victims of the incident are not reported.
