RT reports that the head of the International Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach, condemned the terrorist attack in Barcelona and expressed condolences to the families of those killed and injured.

Bach noted: "This attack is an attack on the Olympic values. He occurred in the city, which hosted the 1992 Olympic Games ".

The terrorist attack in Barcelona was previously condemned by well-known football players Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos, Neimar and many others.

As previously reported, on Thursday, August 17, the van entered a crowd of pedestrians in the center of Barcelona. The attack killed at least 13 people. In hospitals of the city there are more than 100 people, the condition of many of them is estimated as heavy.

Another terrorist attack was prevented in the city of Cambrils. Police eliminated five militants. It is known about seven victims.
