PRIME reports that Beijing, as part of the implementation of the latest resolution of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) No. 2371, has introduced a ban on the importation of a number of goods from North Korea. The Ministry of Commerce of China informs that the ban comes into force on Tuesday, August 15.

The Chinese department said: "Since August 15, a complete ban on the import of coal, iron, iron ore, lead, lead ore, seafood from the DPRK".

The statement also explains that those goods that at the time of entry into force of this resolution have already arrived at the checkpoint of China, can be imported into the country on the same conditions.

It is noted that the prohibition concerns iron and iron ore, lead, coal and a number of seafood products. As for the banking sector, the accounts of the DPRK foreign trade bank will be frozen. In addition, North Korean naval vessels that violate the UN Security Council restrictions will receive a ban on entry to ports of all countries.
