Ronchap News Agency reported on Monday, August 14 that North Korean authorities summoned all ambassadors to the world's largest countries for a meeting in Pyongyang. It is specified that the reason for this decision was the strengthening of international sanctions and pressure on the DPRK because of the buildup of its nuclear and missile capabilities.

The agency quotes the source in the South Korean government:

"At present, North Korea has summoned to Pyongyang ambassadors in the main states, presumably for a meeting of the diplomatic staff".

It is reported that including in the meeting will be attended by the ambassador in Russia Kim Hyun Zhong and the permanent representative of the North Korean state to the UN Cha Son Nam.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said earlier that the situation around the DPRK and the US is close to a potential conflict.
