RIA Novosti reports that Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow began hearing on the case of Alexei Ulyukayev.

The former Minister of Economic Development of Russia was taken to court by the FSIN.

Before the hearing, Ulyukaev confirmed that he did not admit guilt.

Asked by journalists, he replied: "No, of course".

It is reported that preliminary hearings are held in closed mode. As expected, they will be selected to prevent a former official at the time of the process, as well as the parties' requests.

Recall that Alexei Ulyukaev, who at that time was the head of the Ministry of Economic Development, was detained by FSB officers on November 15, 2016.

Then the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported that the official was taken red-handed when receiving a bribe of $ 2 million for a positive evaluation given by his subordinates that allowed the oil company Rosneft to acquire a state-owned stake in another oil company Bashneft.
