Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports that there is a new free antivirus from Russia.

The head of Kaspersky Lab, Eugene Kaspersky, wrote in his blog in Livejournal: "There is great news - we are announcing a global worldwide launch of the free Kaspersky Anti-Virus! For all comers," free of charge, that is, for nothing ".

It is alleged that a free antivirus will not compete with paid versions, which has never happened before. Therefore, people who did not have the funds for a quality anti-virus blockade, installed a very "leaky" protection, which did not save from malicious attacks on their computers. Kaspersky says that over the creation of the program the company has been working for a year and a half. Free antivirus has already been tested in Belarus, China, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and other countries.

Kaspersky writes: "We are not aiming at a free antivirus at all in the market share, but in improving the overall level of security on the Internet". He also notes that soon the antivirus will spread around the world: "The first wave in July" will cover "the US, Canada, most of the Pacific countries, including Kazakhstan. In September - India, Hong Kong, Middle East, Africa, Turkey and Latin America.

October - Europe, Japan and South Korea. And so on until the end of the year all other countries ".

As Kaspersky explains, the program includes only the most basic: file, mail and web antivirus, automatic updates, self-protection, quarantine and t. He says: "This arsenal provides comfortable and secure web surfing, working with flash drives and other media, protection against phishing and running infected files. In general, protecting the first need from cybercriminal and cyberwarism ".
