Izvestia reports that bailiffs can write off about a trillion rubles of Russian citizens' debts to credit institutions. It is specified that the decision to write off is taken in cases where it is impossible to collect the debt. Thus, almost half of the cases received for the first five months of 2017 will be closed.
The Federal Bailiff Service reported that the total size of the irrecoverable debts of Russians is constantly growing. It is reported that last year the amount was about three trillion rubles, the bailiffs completed two out of five million productions.
As it became known, in the period from January to May 2017, the FSSP received four million executive lists. Out of a total of over two trillion bailiffs are ready to write off half, since it is not possible to get money. For this reason 817 thousand productions have already been discontinued.
The Ministry of Justice of Russia earlier proposed a change in the procedure for paying fines for overdue consumer loans. The agency offers first of all payment of the penalty, and only then repayment of the basic debt and interest. An exception was to be made only for businessmen, for whom the order of payments would be the opposite.
According to experts, now in Russia there are about 11 million debtors on loans. It is noted that almost half of them took a new loan to pay for the previous one.
