The website of the Cabinet of Ministers informs that the government approved changes to the Road Traffic Rules, adding in particular the terms "electric car" and "hybrid car", informs "RT in Russian". Together with the terms, the corresponding road signs and markings were approved.

The explanatory note to the document states: "In connection with the accelerated development of an environmentally friendly mode of transport, new terms" electric car "," hybrid car ", appropriate road signs and markings have been introduced in order to identify places for charging electric cars and to provide for their parking in such places.

In the SDA, new road signs for special regulations have also appeared:

"Restricted zone for environmental class of motor vehicles", "Restricted zone for ecological class of trucks", "Ecological class of a vehicle".

It is noted that the changes have affected cycling. In particular, now the movement of cyclists along the sidewalk or the pedestrian path is permitted in the case of an adult accompanying a cyclist under the age of 14.
