Today in Hamburg, the G20 summit began. During the welcome ceremony, when the chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel greeted the heads of state at the Exhibition Center, the presidents of Russia and the US met on the sidelines in Hamburg, Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
A spokesman for the Russian president Dmitry Peskov told reporters: "They shook hands and said that they will soon see each other and hold a separate meeting".
The Kremlin representative, speaking of the forthcoming meeting of the heads of state, noted that all statements by Donald Trump in Poland, as well as other officials from Washington, were reported in detail to the president "for his information in preparation for the forthcoming bilateral meeting".
Peskov said: "He takes this into account".
As previously reported, Trump already wrote on his twitter that he is looking forward to meeting with Vladimir Putin.
