TV channel "Zvezda" reports that according to the statement of the company Group-IB, the new virus is targeted at smartphones running the Android operating system.

The company was told by what scheme the virus is activated. The user receives a message containing a link to the alleged archive of photos, while the virus reads the contacts of the user from the phone's phone book, due to what "is represented" by one of the victim's acquaintances.

If you go through the link, the smartphone will install a malicious program that will be hidden in the list of applications.

Then the virus is built into the system instead of the application for working with SMS and intercepts messages from the mobile banking systems. Then he finds out the balance of funds on the account and transfers money to third-party accounts, in parallel sending out a link to himself on the user's contacts.

It is noted that antiviruses do not recognize the application as harmful, which greatly complicates the ability to get rid of it.
