Izvestia writes that during a visit to Poland, US President Donald Trump said that he did not discuss with the head of the republic Andrzej Duda the extension of the stay of American troops in the country.

Trump, commenting on the question of whether the guarantees of prolongation of the period of stay of the US military in Poland were reached during the talks between the leaders of the two countries, said: "We can not currently talk about guarantees".

Duda, in turn, said that the presidents "spoke first of the security situation in the context of what is happening in our part of Europe".

The Polish president said: "From this point of view, there is no doubt that the presence in Poland of the US military and military NATO is completely justified".

Presidents of Poland and the USA in Warsaw on Thursday, July 6 held bilateral talks.
