The Regional State Institution of Emergency Situations Ministry informs that the regime of emergency situation was introduced in the territory of Teikovsky district of the Ivanovo region due to the outbreak of African swine fever, the Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

As it became known, the reason for the introduction of the regime of emergencies was a message from the city of Teikovo, where the Rosselkhoznadzor administration detected a virus of African swine fever in samples taken from a fallen domestic pig in the personal subsidiary farm of one of the local residents. Once the diagnosis was confirmed in the laboratory, a plan was announced in the district to combat the spread of a dangerous disease.

The Ministry of Emergencies reported:

"On the territory of the town of Teikovo and the Teikovo region, a regime of emergencies connected with the detection of a hotbed of African swine fever has been introduced".

At the same time it became known that a similar outbreak of the disease was detected in domestic pigs kept in two private farms in Petushki, Vladimir Region. Studies have revealed in animals the DNA and the genome of the ASF virus.

Specialists of the Veterinary Service and the Rosselkhoznadzor started anti-epidemic measures in the foci of the disease.
