Finance Minister Anton Silanov announced the decision to unite the Reserve Fund and the National Welfare Fund, PRIME reports..

Siluanov told reporters: "In general, we have a decision to unite all the reserve funds into one: we have the National Welfare Fund (NWF), there is the Reserve Fund".

The Minister has already said that such plans were discussed at the Ministry of Finance. In support of the idea, the ex-head of the Ministry of Finance, the head of the council of the CSR Foundation Alexey Kudrin.



Siluanov, responding to a question about the amount of spending of the Reserve Fund in 2018, said that the authorities intend to send those additional oil and gas revenues that will go to the budget from the price of oil above $ 40 per barrel in 2017 to finance the budget deficit. He said: "Funds of the Reserve Fund next year will be spent in the amount of 623 billion rubles - that is, the funds that we will accumulate in the current year and send to the Reserve Fund".

Yesterday, on June 29, the government reviewed the main budgetary projections for the next three-year period. According to the proposals of the Ministry of Finance, the amount of spending of reserve funds in 2018 will be twice lower than in the current year.
