According to media reports, the incident occurred at 5:15 am during a prayer at the mosque of Mimar Sinan in the city of Atasehir in the province of Istanbul. The head of state suddenly fell unconscious for a few minutes. It is noted that Erdogan received urgent medical aid on the spot, and he came to consciousness.
It is reported that the cause of syncope was a sudden increase in the blood sugar level of Erdogan. Currently, the state of health of the President of Turkey is assessed as stable.
