VCS of Russia intercepted 14 foreign reconnaissance planes

The newspaper of the military department of the "Red Star" published data, with reference to the Ministry of Defense, from which it follows that over the past week, Russian fighters carried out 14 interceptions of foreign reconnaissance aircraft at the borders of the country. Interceptions were conducted by MiG-31 and Su-27 fighters.

According to the Defense Ministry, for seven days, foreign planes conducted 23 reconnaissance flights at the borders of Russia.

Among them were 10 flights of US fighters (RC-135 and Global Hawk drones), four flights of Norway's aviation (P-3C Orion), three flights of Swedish aircraft (Gulfstream models). In addition, two flights were carried out by planes in Great Britain and France, one flight was conducted by UAVs of Portugal and Japan.

The Ministry of Defense also told that two Russian Tu-160s patrolled the Baltic Sea twice a week. Six Su-27 fighters took part in the flights in this region, as well as an A-50 long-range radar detection and control aircraft.
