ABC reported that White House Communications Director Michael Dubke had resigned.
According to the television company, the 47-year-old Dubke resigned on May 18, but decided to continue to fulfill his duties until the end of the first trip abroad by US President Donald Trump.
It is noted that the director of communications in the White House apparatus actually oversees the entire public information and propaganda policy of the US administration. From April 2015 to January 20, 2017, Jen Psak was in this position. Her place was taken by Sean Spicer after the inauguration of Trump. Spicer until recently combined this position with the work of the press secretary of the head of state, although usually these posts are occupied by two people.
As previously reported, Dubke, who founded the company Crossroads Media, was appointed Trump as director of communications on March 6.
