The Izvestia newspaper reported, citing a source in the aviation industry, that the first flight instance of the newest Russian narrow-body airplane MS-21 left the final assembly shop at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant.
"TVC" reports that the aircraft is represented as a domestic competitor Airbus A320 and Boeing 737. It will be able to transport from 150 to 170 passengers and is designed for medium-haul transportation.
As it became known, the first test flight is scheduled for the end of spring. In late 2018 or early 2019, the first MS-21 aircraft will be delivered to Aeroflot.
