The Kremlin said that hearings in the House of Representatives of the US Congress about the alleged influence of Russia on the US elections can hardly be considered a constructive contribution to the development of bilateral relations, Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

The press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov told reporters: "Unequivocally it can hardly be considered a constructive contribution to the development of bilateral relations".

Peskov said, in response to a request to comment on the allegations that the Kremlin allegedly regarded Donald Trump as a hopeless candidate for the presidency of the United States: "We do not believe this is an excuse for our comments".

The presidential press secretary concluded: "This is rather such a permanent internal discussion in the US, and we would like to be on the sidelines of these fruitless discussions".

The press secretary of the head of state added:

"The participants in the hearings have already become entangled in the situation, they are trying to find somewhere a confirmation of their own conclusions, they can not do it - to find some evidence or confirmation - and every time they come to the second round".

In addition, Peskov also stressed that Russia does not welcome the US attempts to extend its jurisdiction to other countries and citizens of other states. Thus, he commented on reports that relatives of those killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 in the United States sued Saudi Arabia.
