RIA Novosti reports that the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Culture, People's Artist of Russia, Iosif Kobzon, said he was "very happy" that the Russian representative at Eurovision Song Contest, Julia Samoylova, could be banned from entering Ukraine.

Kobzon said: "I am very happy, because I kept saying: there is no need to go there, to the bandit country, to dishonor our performers. Therefore, it is very good that they (Kiev) artificially created, as they say in football, a "position outside the game".

He added that Russia had to initially refuse to participate in the "Eurovision".

The People's Artist of Russia said: "Do not disgrace yourself and do not go with those hands to these American puppets".

He recalled that in 1980, American athletes did not go to the Olympics in Moscow and "showed their character".

FAN cites Kobzon: "And we are all trying to protect some unfortunate $ 30,000 that were contributed to the Eurovision Song Contest. Spit on them. We lost much more. Only honor and conscience do not lose ".

As the head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasily Hrytsak stated earlier, the decision to ban Samoylova's entry has not yet been made, but the relevant document has already been prepared.
