Deputy Finance Minister Sergei Storchak said that the amount of the Russian Federation's debt to Bosnia and Herzegovina, calculated on the basis of the trade between the former USSR and the former SFRY, was $ 125.2 million.

Storchak told reporters that this is the last debt of the USSR, and it will be paid within 45 days.

Today, on March 21, the Russian Federation and Bosnia and Herzegovina signed an intergovernmental agreement on the settlement of the obligations of the former USSR.

Sergei Storchak said: "The agreement that we signed today provides for the recalculation of clearing debts into US dollars at the rate used in the memorandum. As a result of the recalculation, the amount of the obligations of the Russian Federation to Bosnia and Herzegovina is $ 125.

2 million and is subject to repayment by a one-time cash payment within 45 calendar days from the date of entry into force of the agreement ".

He explained that Bosnia and Herzegovina remained the only country among the creditors of the former USSR, the debt to which remained unpaid. The Deputy Minister of Finance of the RF clarified that the obligations to the other republics of the former SFRY (Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Slovenia and Macedonia) recognized by the Russian Federation in the multilateral memorandum of September 17, 2003, were fully repaid in the period 2011-2016.
