At the beginning of the meeting with the Prime Minister of Great Britain Kirmer, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, thanked him for his support and noted that Ukraine is happy to have such strategic partners.

As reported, during a meeting behind closed doors, leaders will discuss the future of military and financial assistance to Ukraine. Tomorrow the President of Ukraine will meet with King Charles III and take part in the convened head of the European defense summit.

“I am very glad that His Majesty the king accepted my tomorrow's meeting, and is grateful for organizing such a big summit for tomorrow. And we are very happy in Ukraine, to have such strategic partners. We signed a historical document with you (100-year partnership agreement), ”Zelensky said.

Cyrus Starmer at the beginning of the meeting assured that Ukraine has a “full support of the entire United Kingdom” and that London will remain nearby “as much as it takes”.

The media wrote that Zelensky arrived in Britain after a visit to the United States, where a meeting in the White House with American President Donald Trump ended in a tough dispute.

Sources in the British Royal Palace note that this meeting was planned in advance and not a reaction to the tense negotiations of Zelensky in Washington.

On Thursday, US President Donald Trump accepted the invitation of King Charles to visit the UK, which was held in the country's prime minister Kirrammer during a meeting in the White House.

For Zelensky, tomorrow's meeting with the king will be the second: for the first time he visited the Buckingham Palace and met with the British King Charles III in February 2023.
