The Minister of Defense Rustem Umarov was appointed two new deputies. This was announced by the representative of the government in parliament Taras Melnichuk.

So, Valery Churkina, who is a professional military. Previously, he was the commander of the Center for the Scaling of Technological Solutions under the Armed Forces.

Evgeny Moysyuk also became Deputy Umarova, who today, on January 7, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on the dismissal of Moisyuk from the post of his special authorized guarantees of the security and development of defense forces of Ukraine.

In March 2014, he commanded the mobile unit of the 25th OMSBR, which was located on the Russian-Ukrainian border. During the anti -terrorist operation in the east of Ukraine, Moisyuk took part in the battles for Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, Lisichansk, Debaltseve and other cities. From December 2014 to January 2015, he led the defense of the Donetsk airport.

In 2019-2021, MiSyuk was the commander of the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces. Then he was appointed deputy commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny.



However, on February 11, 2024, Moisyuk was fired from the post of deputy commander in chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And on February 13 of the same year, Zelensky appointed him authorized.

The personnel permutations, in the framework of which Moisyuk was fired from the post of deputy commander -in -chief, occurred a few days after the president changed the most commander in chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - appointed Alexander Syrsky instead of Valery Zaluzhny.
