At the session of the Ostrog City Council, 25 deputies voted for the early termination of the powers of the mayor Yuri Berry. One deputy abstained, eight did not participate in the vote.
The explanatory note to the decision states that in the performance of duties to Yuri Yagodka, a number of violations of the laws of Ukraine, the rights and freedoms of citizens, as well as the inadequate execution of the powers assigned to it were recorded. This was reported by the local publication " Prison"
The main reasons for the decision.
The incident at the end of August: Yuri Berry, while intoxicated, sang Russian songs and attacked an activist who made him a remark. The police opened criminal proceedings on. 1 tbsp. 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (deliberate light bodily harm). The mayor himself recognized the fact of the incident and apologized in social networks.

In September 2024, there were no representatives of the city authorities at the funeral of the deceased military Oleg Latyshev. Subsequently, the official resources of the City Council published information about him as a deserter, which caused the indignation of the community.
Recognition of work is unsatisfactory.
In December 2024, deputies considered the work of the mayor of unsatisfactory. Yuri Yagoda vested this decision, which deputies called illegal. A lawsuit was filed against the mayor.

Mikhail Kiriychuk (first deputy), Olga Logvin, Valentina Streletskaya, Olesya Kashuba (deputy activities of executive bodies).
25 deputies unanimously supported the decision to appoint the acting mayor Konstantin Kirilyuk.
This situation became resonant in society and emphasized the tension between the mayor and the deputy corps, as well as the importance of compliance with moral standards and legislation by officials.
