President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky held talks with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Davos, Switzerland. The main topic of the meeting was supporting Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression and coordinating actions with allies. The President announced this on Telegram.

Zelensky noted that Germany is the second largest supporter of Ukraine. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, its assistance has amounted to 37 billion euros.

Zelensky thanked Scholz for his leadership in strengthening the Ukrainian air defense system, which saved thousands of lives.

The allies paid special attention to the issue of providing Ukraine with air defense systems to protect civilians and infrastructure.

The parties also discussed the creation of unity cells in Berlin to deepen interstate ties.

Earlier in Germany it was predicted that the Bundestag would approve the allocation of three billion euros for the supply of weapons to Ukraine even before the parliamentary elections scheduled for February 23.
