In the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, a group of deputies registered a draft law "

Bill No. 9005 was registered in Parliament on February 9. In an explanatory note to the document, the authors of the initiative argue the need for such changes by “securing the work of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine as a single legislative body in Ukraine from threats related to the military actions of the aggressor state”.

According to the initiators, the preliminary dissemination of information about the holding of the plenary session creates a potential danger to the life and health of people's deputies..

For violation, deputies caught on this will have to leave the plenary session at the suggestion of the chairman or another deputy, which must be supported by at least 150 other deputies.

Also, at the conclusion of the procedural committee, the Verkhovna Rada may, without discussion, decide to deprive a people's deputy of the right to participate in plenary sessions or an ongoing plenary session for up to five days of such sessions.. During these days, the people's deputy will not be paid wages and other payments.

Recall that since the beginning of the Russian invasion, meetings of the Verkhovna Rada have been held closed to the press and are not broadcast on television..
