One of the seven recommendations of the European Commission, which Ukraine must fulfill in order to start negotiations on joining the EU, is the fight against oligarchs, in particular, the implementation of the anti-oligarchic law. Despite the fact that the Venice Commission has not yet provided an opinion on the document, the law on deoligarchization has already partially fulfilled its role, ZN said in an interview. UA Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olga Stefanishyna, with whom Tatyana Silina spoke.

“Several things are also obvious.. First, to some extent, the law partially fulfilled its role. Some of the most famous people have left the media business or have publicly stated that they do not support any political parties,” Stefanishyna said..

Secondly, according to her, the entire legal framework is already ready to implement the law.. Stefanyshina noted that the authorities are also ready to accept several principled positions of the Venetian, which entail changes in legislation.. She assured that in this matter "

“Thirdly, the situation has changed a lot since the adoption of the law, which, let me remind you, was before the full-scale invasion of Russia. We are at war, and it is obvious that the issue of creating a register of oligarchs cannot be a priority. We are fighting on the battlefield, we are also fighting to keep the financial and economic control of the state.. And I see an understanding of this on the part of the European Commission,” added Deputy Prime Minister.

There is no conclusion of the Venice Commission on the signed law. This also slows down the implementation of the " When asked what the problem was, the Deputy Prime Minister replied that “in view of the experience of working on the legislation on the Constitutional Court and those conclusions that, in fact, have always been a surprise for Ukraine, despite our constant dialogue with the VC, it is difficult for me to assess.

“We talked with the Venice Commission in the summer, everyone spoke. We have reached a common understanding with the VC that the assessment will cover both the law and its implementation. We provided the Commission with all the information about the developed legislative acts - how we see the implementation of the law. And I hope that the assessment of the Commission will be comprehensive,” added Stefanishina.

Earlier, the head of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, Oleksandr Novikov, said that after winning the war imposed by Russia, Ukraine will pave a new European path.. There should be no place for corruption or outright lobbyists. So there is simply no place for oligarchs in such Ukraine.

At the same time, according to him, the idea of \u200b\u200ba state register of oligarchs is no longer relevant, because the people we used to consider oligarchs have lost their centers of influence..
