President Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated Ukrainians and Christians of the Western Rite on the bright holiday of Christmas.

The President noted that Ukrainians celebrate this holiday in difficult circumstances and this year all holidays have a bitter aftertaste and we can feel the traditional spirit of Christmas differently. However, the Ukrainians withstood 300 days of the Russian offensive and 8 years of war, and will survive the coming winter..

" And our houses and streets may not be so bright. And not so loud and inspiring can be heard Christmas bells. Because of the air raid siren, or - even worse - gunshots or explosions. And all this together can pose a great threat.. This is disbelief. In higher powers and their power, in goodness and justice in the world. Loss of hope. Loss of love. Losing yourself. Isn't this what the evil and darkness that rebelled against us essentially want, we have been resisting them for more than 300 days and 8 years, and will we allow them to achieve what they want?.

In this battle, we have another powerful and effective weapon - the hammer and sword of our spirit and consciousness.. Courage and courage, virtues that incline us to do a good deed and overcome evil, the main act of courage is endurance and bringing our work to the end at all. Truth lights our way, we know it. Freedom has a high price. But slavery is still higher. Faith and patience light the way for us. These forces are twins. As it was said "

To endure is not to accept the circumstances. Patience makes sure that we do not let the slightest doubt or fear into our minds.. It's self-confidence. Evil has no weapon stronger than the armor given to us by God. Evil breaks against this armor like a stone wall. We have seen it many times. We withstood at the beginning of the war, withstood attacks, threats, nuclear blackmail, terror, missile strikes. We will survive this winter, because we know what we are fighting for. We go forward through thorns to the stars, knowing what awaits at the end of the path.. God is a just judge, rewarding good and punishing evil. Which side are we on?. We resist all this, being a model for others.. The Faithful, that is, those who truly believe, should be a light to the rest of the world.. For more than 300 days, Ukrainians have been striving for exactly this, proving it and serving as an example for others.. The President assured that Ukraine will return all its defenders from captivity.
