Russia seeks talks to buy time to prepare for new offensive against Ukraine, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg says.
" President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky suggested that the Russian Federation begin to withdraw troops before Christmas as the first step towards ending the conflict, but Moscow sharply rejected this proposal.. It was Putin who started the war, and he can end it even today by climbing out of Ukraine.
Now there is no sign that he really wants peace,"
Stoltenberg stressed that the Alliance must continue to support Ukraine.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky agreed with the forecast of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny that in 2023 the Russians could resume their offensive against Ukraine and try to capture the capital. Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov believes that Russian troops will launch a large-scale offensive in February.
