American diplomat, former US ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul responded to criticism of the proposal to introduce a ban on the issuance of tourist visas to Russians.

“Your emotional tweets in my feed about the violation of the rights of Russian tourists would carry much more weight for me if you expressed similar outrage at the violations of the human rights of innocent Ukrainians, which are committed daily by the Russian army that invaded the territory of Ukraine,” he wrote in.

Your emocional tweets on my list about violation of human rights Russian tourists would carry a lot more weight with me i you expresed similar outrage o violation of human rights innocent Ukrainians being carried out every day.

Previously, McFaul said that no Russian has the right to rest in the free world.. It's a privilege, especially today"

Alternatively, he also proposed introducing a special fee for citizens of the aggressor country traveling to other countries.. Funds from this collection could go to the restoration of Ukraine.
