A petition calling on President Volodymyr Zelensky to ban Russians from entering Ukraine for 50 years gained the required number of votes - 25,380.
The authors of the petition believe that open borders with the aggressor pose a threat to the national security of Ukraine. Since saboteurs, enemy agents and fire spotters are coming from the territory of a neighboring state.
“For the safety of every Ukrainian now and in the future, we propose to completely close entry to Ukraine to all Russians for the next 50 years and not to issue residence permits to Russians except those who fought on the side of Ukraine in the Russian-Ukrainian war,” the petition reads..

On May 26, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky instructed the government to develop the issue of introducing a visa regime between Ukraine and the Russian Federation. On June 17, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a resolution on the termination of the visa-free agreement between the countries.
From July 1, citizens of the Russian Federation can enter Ukraine only with a visa. You can issue it at the representative offices of VFS Global in the Russian Federation or the diplomatic missions of Ukraine in third countries.
