Russian delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly may be deprived of powers. During the recent session, the Assembly supported the development of a mechanism that would allow the punishment of a member country that attacked another country.

Three resolutions on Ukraine were adopted at the session, the main one was the document entitled “The aggressive war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and its people, which poses a threat to the entire OSCE region,” said Deputy Member of the Ukrainian Delegation Evgenia Kravchuk.

In the resolution, the Organization, in particular:.

Calls on the OSCE PA Standing Committee to amend the Rules and Procedures, which will create an appeals mechanism and, as a result, the deprivation of authority of the delegation of a participating State that violated the sovereignty and territorial integrity of another participating State;

Considers the crimes of the Russian Federation as war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide, and insists on the speedy creation of a special international criminal tribunal to investigate them;

Demands immediate and full withdrawal of troops and restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine;

Condemns the forced transfer of Ukrainians to the territory of the Russian Federation, including unaccompanied children, as well as the practice of filtration camps;

Draws special attention to the naval blockade that prevents Ukraine from supplying grain, which threatens the food security of many countries;

Expresses concern about the destruction and theft of cultural heritage objects belonging to the Ukrainian people.

“Two more resolutions deal with the safety of journalists in the conflict zone, as well as the impact of security threats during the war on the lives of people and civil society,” Kravchuk summed up, thanking the members of the delegation for their position and cooperation.
