Bill No. 7265, which stipulates the mandatory return to Ukraine within fifteen days of all those liable for military service who quite legally crossed the border and are now abroad, should not be adopted, said Vitaly Bezgin, MP from the Servant of the People party.

According to him, if the bill applied only to deputies, members of the government, representatives of local governments, then it would be worth supporting it..

“For these people should be in the workplace, do not forget about the oath and the functioning of territories and industries. But it concerns everyone,” he wrote on Facebook..

Bezgin stressed that the war significantly squanders the country's economy, and men, especially those living abroad for a long time, make transfers to Ukraine and will be a significant budget filler in the current and future years.. And providing a rear is an equally important component of a combat-ready army..

He stressed that the war had already created temporary economic chaos and rising unemployment, but the adoption of the law could increase the number of such unemployed..

“If any such bill is to be written, it is about a ban on holding public and political positions in the future for those men who left Ukraine after February 24, 2022,” the deputy added..

Recall that the Parliament registered bill No. 7265, which proposes to supplement the Criminal Code with a new article 337-1, which will establish criminal liability for failure to comply with the requirements of the law on return to Ukraine without good reason after the introduction of martial law in Ukraine and requires the return of all those liable for military service, with the exception of certain.
