Member of the Latvian Parliament Juris Jurass drew up a mandate and joined the Ukrainian territorial defense in order to defend our country. It is reported by the Latvian edition of LSM.

Jurass graduated from the Latvian Police Academy and worked for several years at the Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau.

Earlier in Latvia, banks froze about 8 million. euro of Russian assets. One individual and 15 legal entities were found there, who are not directly included in the sanctions lists, but the affiliation or control of sanctioned persons over these persons was established, therefore their funds were frozen.
