Zelenskiy identifies three people who can make statements on behalf of Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy today signed a decree according to which only three people can comment on Ukraine's foreign policy: the guarantor, the head of the Foreign Ministry and the Prime Minister. The decree has already been published on the OPU website.

The decree also states that state bodies must now coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs:.

preparation of foreign visits;

official statements and comments on foreign policy;

initiatives for Ukraine to gain membership in NATO, the EU and other organizations and associations;

preparation of international bilateral or multilateral documents;

proposals for candidates for appointment as representatives of Ukraine in the statutory and other bodies of international organizations;

conducting international consultations, negotiations, meetings, conversations;

participation in international consultations, negotiations, conferences, meetings.

The President also approved a mandatory list of persons who must be in the Ukrainian delegation during international negotiations, meetings, etc..



Prime Minister - First Deputy or Deputy Foreign Minister;

First Deputy Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister - Head of the relevant department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs;

minister - the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, holding the position of diplomatic adviser in the relevant body or designated by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,.
