Bulgarian President Rumen Radev believes that Crimea, allegedly temporarily occupied by Russia, belongs to her, and EU sanctions in this case are ineffective. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has already reacted to this - they summoned the Bulgarian ambassador Kostadin Kodzhabashev to clarify the situation.

" They emphasized that the words of the current Bulgarian president do not contribute to the development of good-neighborly relations between Ukraine and Bulgaria and sharply discord with the official position of Sofia on supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state within its internationally recognized borders, "

Now the Ukrainian side is waiting for a refutation by President Radev himself.

Meanwhile, the ambassador noted that Bulgaria continues to support the territorial integrity of Ukraine, including Crimea as an integral part of the territory of our state..
