Yesterday, October 5, under the chairmanship of the Secretary of the Security Council Alexei Danilov and with the participation of the chief sanitary doctor Igor Kuzin and representatives of various ministries, a meeting was held on countering coronavirus disease. Danilo spoke about a system that will allow central and local authorities to apply prompt, relevant and truthful information about the burden on the healthcare system. The NSDC apparatus launched this system.

The state of the health care system.

The meeting discussed the provision of healthcare institutions with the necessary medical personnel, beds with oxygen for patients with coronavirus and medicines necessary for the autumn-winter period.

Testing.

During the meeting, the thesis was sounded that it is necessary to increase the number of tests to identify patients with coronavirus. First of all, this will help to quickly identify the disease, and then avoid its severe course, provided that timely treatment is applied..

Vaccination.

Danilov recalled that by the end of this year it is necessary to vaccinate the bulk of the adult population. First of all, this applies to people from risk categories - who are over 60 years old and those who have chronic diseases.
