London will give up Brexit

In the United Kingdom, opponents of the country's withdrawal from the European Union intensified, both in the Conservative and in the Labor Party. Negotiations between London and Brussels on Brexit parameters reached a deadlock. This increases the chances that Britain will have to remain in the European Union. The deadline for the preparation of an agreement on the conditions for the country's exit from the EU expires in a month, but the document is not ready even in the first approximation. The "tough" version of the rupture of relations, which Prime Minister Teresa May insists, will hit first of all in Britain itself. And on the terms of Brussels, London does not want to conclude a deal, notes "Vzglyad". As a result, the head of government was under fire. Brexit's adherents blame her for excessive concessions to Europe and the actual rejection of British sovereignty. Opponents, on the other hand, talk about the impasse in which the country brought its government. Already this week, one-party people can demand in an ultimatum from the prime minister a clear plan of action in the event of a breakdown of the agreement with the EU. If the plan does not convince the Conservatives, May may lose the post of chairman of the party, and hence the Prime Minister's chair. In London, various candidates for the premiership are already being discussed, including former Foreign Minister Boris Johnson, who was an ardent supporter of Brexit even before the referendum. However, if the program for the withdrawal of the country from the EU fails, the replacement of the prime minister will not save the conservatives: their policy will be discredited in the eyes of voters, so they will not be able to hold on to power. In addition, the arrival of Johnson as head of government will lead to a split in the Conservative Party: it can be abandoned by those who oppose the country's withdrawal from the EU. Laborites already outstrip conservatives by ratings.

The deadlock with the development of the agreement on Brexit, they use for their own purposes. The Labor Party is going to involve voters in the discussion about the expediency of the country's withdrawal from the EU and initiate a repeated referendum on this issue. Perhaps the Cabinet of Ministers will have to agree with this.

So far, May and her team have been categorically against the new plebiscite, calling it ignoring the opinion of voters who already expressed themselves in 2016.

But as soon as negotiations with the EU on the agreement fail and the country will wait for "hard" Brexit, everything will change. Initially, it was planned that the procedure for the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the EU would be finalized by March 2019. However, now there is less and less chance that by this time the supporters of Brexit will be able to achieve their goal.

Especially if in the country there will be a resignation of the government.
