State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin held the third meeting of the working group on improving pension legislation. He said that the profile committee on labor, social policy and veterans affairs had already received 286 amendments to the package of laws on this topic. During the meeting on Monday, September 24, the block of amendments introduced by the head of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of the Russian Federation Mikhail Shmakov was supported, as well as the proposals of Alexander Kalinin, the head of the "Russian Support" and Alexander Shokhin, the president of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. The speaker of the State Duma, for his part, proposed holding parliamentary hearings on the development and support of entrepreneurship. "We will invite the government, law enforcement agencies, all interested organizations. We will proceed from the task set in the President's message: to ensure economic growth of more than 3%, "Volodin said, stressing that" the legislation should not restrain the development of business ". Recall that the adoption of amendments to the bills aimed at improving the pension system, ends on Monday, September 24.

Today, the deputies will decide when the second reading of the government bill.

"We expect it to be considered this week," said Volodin.

He said that also this week the State Duma will consider in the third reading the amendments to the Criminal Code introduced by the President of the Russian Federation aimed at protecting citizens of pre-retirement age from unjustified dismissal or refusal to apply for work. The Working Group on the Improvement of Pension Law was established following a large public-parliamentary hearing held at the State Duma on Volodin's initiative on August 21. It included representatives of the business and business community, trade union associations, sociologists and experts.
