The Chairman of the Federal Government of Germany must, as soon as possible, resign. This opinion is shared by the majority (56%) of the inhabitants of Germany. This was clarified during a sociological survey conducted by the Insa Center. During her time in office, Angela Merkel experienced outbursts of popular love and a wave of hatred, but this level of distrust among citizens it never reached in all the years of political career. According to the newspaper Bild, 47% of Germans are in favor of early elections in Germany. The opposite viewpoint is held by 29% of citizens. Only 24% of respondents favor the re-election of Merkel for the post of Chancellor. The situation for the ruling party is no better either. The conservative block of the CDU / CSU, which is headed by Merkel, is losing its rating. In September, it fell to a minimum since 1997, accounting for only 28%. Such data are contained in the survey Deutschlandtrend, conducted by the sociological institute Infratest dimap, reports Deutsche Welle. If the elections were held in the coming weekend, then the second largest party in the Bundestag would be the far-right "Alternative for Germany", which was recently considered a marginal political force with a practically zero rating. 18% of voters are ready to give their votes. Distrust of the head of the government from the Germans has grown significantly lately. According to a survey conducted by the international research company YouGov in June this year, Merkel's resignation was expressed by 43% of respondents. Supporters of her at that time was almost the same - 42%.
The cause of discontent among the citizens of Germany is the failed policy of Angela Merkel on all fronts. The migration crisis, which she arranged in her country, has not been overcome. To this can be added the weakness of foreign policy and economic miscalculations. The scandals accompanying her do not benefit the Chancellor either. So, the other day it provoked a cooling in relations with Britain, refusing to give a hand to Prime Minister Teresa May. Merkel accuses her of striving to destroy the European Union by withdrawing from its United Kingdom.
