In the Kherson region, bordering on the Russian Crimea, the local authorities composed a super-plan to stop the work of the Crimean Titan plant in Armyansk in case the harmful emissions from the enterprise continue. On this on Tuesday, September 11, said the head of the Kherson regional state administration Andrey Gordeev. "In the event that the plant Titan continues to harass the population, we have developed radical measures to stop its activities," - quotes his press service HOGA. True, he did not explain how Ukraine intends to implement this. According to Gordeyev, doctors affected by the emissions among residents of the villages of Kherson region have not yet been found, but the population was given 20 thousand gauze bandages. In addition, the head of the region assured Ukrainians that the Crimeans "nobody is going to give water". "A modern stationary dam has been built. They built it in order to irrigate more than 7 thousand hectares of land in the Kherson region. We have a clear position - the dam is built, we will not give water through the North-Crimean channel to the occupied Crimea, "Gordeev said.. Recall, on the night of August 23 to August 24, there was an emission of an unknown substance in the Armyansk, about which the city's residents reported in social networks.

Later, experts established that the culprit in the Crimean Chernobyl was the largest chemical plant in Eastern Europe "Crimean Titan", because of the acid store which exceeded the concentration of sulfur dioxide.

The release of harmful substances in the air in the north of the peninsula exceeded the permissible norm on the night of September 4. The authorities of the Republic decided to halt the work of the enterprise for two weeks. The termination of the furnace work at the plant began at the same time. Totally "Titan" stopped on September 9. Also from Armeniansk and several adjoining villages in the sanatorium were taken out children of preschool age and schoolchildren. Investigative Committee opened a criminal investigation into the release of harmful substances.
