"Once again stressing the economic necessity of the changes proposed by the Government in the pension legislation, the president brings with his proposals the real growth of the standard of living and pensions for both current and future pensioners," the politician said.. According to him, Putin advocates the preservation of benefits and additional support and those who will soon retire to the category of Russians who are in great need of it. It is important that the changes will occur gradually, which will allow citizens to get used to and adapt to new realities. In addition, the speaker stressed the fairness of the president's proposals to reduce the retirement of women from 63 to 60 years and to provide for the possibility of retiring early to mothers with many children.

Volodin recalled that a working group meeting was set up in the lower house of parliament on Aug. 31.
