The bridge, which became a real "road of life" for the inhabitants of the peninsula, was built, as they say, by the whole world. Therefore, the medal for its construction will be given not only to Russians, but also to citizens of other states. This is stated in the draft order of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, published on the federal portal of draft normative acts. The order says that the awards will be awarded to citizens of Russia living abroad, as well as foreigners and foreign organizations. In this case, the agency will agree on each candidate.

As for the Russians, who will be awarded commemorative medals, applications for their receipt will be made in regional ministries. Vladimir Putin instituted the medal "For the Construction of the Crimean Bridge" on August 21. It will have a round shape. The award will be made of copper-nickel alloy. On the front part the Crimean bridge will be depicted. On the circumference there will be an inscription: "From the President of the Russian Federation".
