Trump avenged the deceased McCain

Donald Trump canceled the publication of the official statement about the death of John McCain, in which the merits of the senator. As reported by The Washington Post referring to sources in the White House, the release was prepared before McCain's death, and press secretary Sarah Sanders and other presidential aides presented Trump with the final version of the document this weekend. In the document, McCain was called a "hero", it noted the service of the senator to America and his military merit during the Vietnam War. However, Trump refused to sign the release and said that instead he would publish a tweet. Indeed, on the President's Twitter page on August 26, a laconic message appeared:

"I express my deepest sympathies and respect for the family of Senator John McCain. Our hearts and prayers are with you! "Earlier media reported that Trump was not invited to the senator's funeral, but the funeral ceremony will be attended by former presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush. John McCain died August 25 at the age of 81, he struggled for a long time with aggressive brain cancer, but the day before his death decided to give up treatment, recalls the "Free Press".
