Russia itself is to blame for the fact that its courts and its citizens are seized in Ukraine. This is the opinion of the military expert, Colonel of the Reserve Alexander Zhilin. In his opinion, Moscow was supposed to give a real rebuff when the seiner "Nord" was still captured,.

Because the history of the tanker "Mechanic Pogodin" became possible only because of insufficiently tough reaction from Russia. It is necessary to act like the US or Israel - to beat right away, without hesitation, Zhilin is convinced. "I am sure that Israel would respond with all the might of its armed forces. And I applaud this country, which protects every citizen on any continent of the globe, "the expert said in an interview with RIA FAN. At the same time, there is no need to fear the condemnation of the international community. Kiev itself has violated all the rules of law, therefore can not count on outside support. "The exclusion of representatives of the OSCE mission to the seized crew is the opposition of all international law. A country that publicly and defiantly rejects international law, does not comply with international conventions, outlaws itself. Any measures of influence may be applied to it.

I emphasize - any measures of influence, "- insists the expert. The Russian tanker "Mechanic Pogodin" with 12 crew members is being held in Ukraine since August 10. First, the local authorities accused the vessel of malfunctioning and threatening the environment, and then it was announced that it was built on the funds of the company, which was included in the sanctions lists of the Nezalezhnaya.
